The 2008 Value-Added Achievement Awards
In a May 12, 2008 ceremony to be held at the State Capitol with Acting Commissioner of
Education Dr. Tim Webb, Education Consumers Foundation President J. E. Stone
will present awards of $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000 to Tennessee's highest performing
elementary and middle school principals. Recipients are selected on the basis of their school's most recent 3-year average achievement gains in math and reading/language arts. Only those principals with 5 or more years of service are considered.
