The 2007 Value-Added Achievement Awards
In a May 7, 2007 ceremony held at the State Capitol with Commissioner of
Education Lana Seivers, Education Consumers Foundation President J. E. Stone
presented awards of $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000 to Tennessee's highest performing
elementary and middle school principals. Recipients were selected on the basis of their school's most recent 3-year average achievement gains in math and reading/language arts. Only those principals with 5 or more years of service were considered.
